Rewear Revolution is a community-centered sustainability event designed to empower youth to rethink environmental wellness through the lens of fashion and consumption. In a world driven by fast fashion and overconsumption, Rewear Revolution invites community to step back and rediscover style with purpose. Through secondhand fashion, creative styling, and community connection, the event highlights how sustainable choices can be both expressive and impactful. Rewear Revolution encourages conscious shopping, supports local community efforts, and inspires the next generation to embrace fashion that aligns with their values and the well-being of our planet.
Last year, the Rewear Revolution event diverted 1,000+ clothing items from landfill through donation and clothing swaps. We are building on the movement this year by:
Seeking partnership with second-hand sellers and local artists
Creating a free-market section and clothing swap during the event
Incorporating a fashion show featuring upcycled looks created by youth (youth will create these pieces during their workshop series between March-April 2026)
Encouraging a family-friendly environment and free public attendance
Why Your Support Matters
By supporting a series of four upcycling workshops and a final showcase between March 2026 through April 2026, reaching over 150 young people, we’re creating an accessible space where our community can learn practical skills, share resources, and reimagine “waste” as opportunity. This work only becomes possible with community support! There are many ways to support: Making a financial contribution or purchasing materials directly from our wish list, volunteering at workshops or the showcase event, and sharing the word about our movement in your networks. This project is free, family-friendly, and open to the public.
Your support helps:
Young people build creative and collaborative skills through hands-on workshops
Grow community access to affordable clothing and resources
Reduce waste by keeping clothing in use longer
Create a positive, community-centered public event in our local region
